Commercial Line 2200K: 5 dry storage bins in a commercial line concept, with the main equipment arrangement
Revised concept layout using Knopp’s handling standards. Equipment proportions are illustrative; the diagram does not set construction dimensions. Full engineered layouts and additional views are prepared for your purchased project.Enlarge preview

The package

Five-bin commercial facility with multiple wet-holding tanks. One support tower surrounds the separate 10,000 BPH wet and 5,000–8,000 BPH dry elevators. A mixed-flow dryer handles drying. An overhead conveyor fills the bins along the storage row, with reclaim and service access below.

Why this layout works

Support both elevators inside one shared tower while keeping wet and dry grain paths separate. Receiving moves to wet holding, then through the mixed-flow dryer and back to the dry elevator. An overhead conveyor fills the bins along the storage row. Gravity spouting is laid out at 40–45° from horizontal; horizontal travel uses conveyors. Bin reclaim returns at ground level for loadout.

Room to grow

Extend the overhead conveyor and reclaim corridor at the open end of the row. Review the 10,000 BPH wet and 5,000–8,000 BPH dry handling basis, dryer output and tower loads before adding storage.

The approximate dry-storage figure is a planning reference, not a guaranteed finished capacity. Wet holding and loadout storage are not included in that figure. Individual vessel capacities and model mappings require review before a final proposal.

The wet and dry elevators sit inside the same support tower and keep their grain paths separate. Conveyors carry grain across the tops of the bin rows; short sloping spouts connect the transfer points.

BPH means bushels per hour and describes the handling basis. Dryer output is sized separately for crop, incoming moisture, target moisture and harvest hours. The final dry elevator is selected within the 5,000–8,000 BPH range. Final equipment and structural design are confirmed for the project.

Concept review / KC-D050

Follow the grain. Define the scope.

01

Receiving

Receiving equipment feeds the 10,000 BPH wet elevator inside the shared tower.

02

Wet holding & drying

Wet holding supplies the mixed-flow dryer. Select its output for moisture removal and harvest hours.

03

Dry transfer & storage

The 5,000–8,000 BPH dry elevator feeds overhead row conveyors; gravity spouts run at 40–45° from horizontal.

04

Reclaim & loadout

Confirm reclaim routing, staging and outbound transfer.

Quoted to your project

Selected equipment, accessories, freight, concrete, erection and installation, with quantities and responsibilities stated in the written proposal.

Resolve before a final commitment

Individual vessel capacities, model compatibility, harvest rates, electrical service, fuel, soil and foundations, drainage, permits, engineering and access.

Compare another layout when…

The site cannot accommodate the storage axis, or a compact group better preserves truck and service access.

Status: preliminary concept awaiting project-specific technical and commercial review. Concept revision: October 7, 2026. Handling rates are package design targets, not guaranteed dryer output. No construction date or complete-facility price is implied.
